Michelle Daniels – Homemade Chocolates by Michelle

Hello! I am Michelle Daniels, the proud founder and owner of Homemade Chocolates by Michelle. I was a happily married, part time dental hygienist, mother of three active children, who enjoyed skiing, golfing, and leisurely crafting chocolate treats for my family and friends. In 2012, my entire life was turned upside down when my husband, Jim was diagnosed with cancer. As a means to necessarily supplement our income during his illness, I made the decision to take my chocolate candy making hobby and turn it into a business. Under the Cottage Law, with the help of faithful family and friends, I started the business in our home where I could care for Jim. My husband lost his courageous battle against cancer in May 2014. With Jim in my heart, I moved the business into a commercial kitchen/retail establishment in Flint Township. Over the past five years, we have expanded and grown beyond my wildest dreams. I take great pride in our handcrafted delicacies presented in unique, custom packaging for all special events and occasions. I am most proud of our thoughtful bereavement trays – created in memory of my husband, with the truest sense of empathy and sincerity, to provide comfort to other families in their time of sorrow. I know Jim is proud of my endeavor. Homemade Chocolates by Michelle now includes a fabulous retail store, corporate business gifting, and several meaningful wholesale accounts. I am truly blessed! My team and I work hard to provide our customers with a beautifully packaged delicious product of the highest quality.
