From the legendary multi-faceted media professional and radio host of The Old School House Party Sunday Nights on Z92.7, Gerald McBride, comes the film “Black Ice: The Rhythm” – a relevant and timely motion picture exploring unsung heroes in a predominately white world of sport while weaving storylines of Detroit youth as they learn valuable lessons while chartering unfamiliar territory.  “Black Ice: The Rhythm” will premiere from Friday, May 31 to Thursday, June 6 at select Emagine Theaters.

McBride lends his expertise in digital media production and radio hosting to the silver screen by writing, producing, and directing his first feature film. The release uncovers a crucial piece of history – often overlooked. “Black Ice: The Rhythm” is a captivating narrative of unity, resilience, and faith as it honors historical African American hockey players while weaving their storyline with current situations.
