Flint native Founder and CEO of Brown Girl Royalty Cosmetics LLC , Teosha Robinson manifested the vision of BGR after the loss of a job in 2018. The feelings of depression and financial vulnerability was becoming all to familiar for my liking. Being married to the most loving and supportive husband was more than I could dream of but, I was yearning for the feeling of independence and maintaining my own financial stability. I started brainstorming because I was determined to come up with a solution and fast!

I knew I needed to find a productive, yet enjoyable hobby that could possibly turn into a source of income. I’ve always been into the girly things life brings, which inspired me to perfect my skill of doing my own makeup and creating a cosmetics line. After watching tons of makeup artist all over the world go live on social media, I was inspired and driven to enhance my skill set and techniques. So , I started buying inexpensive products from local shops, hair stores, drug stores, dollar stores, etc., to practice and master looks on myself.

I knew I could make things look nice without spending an arm and leg . Learning and trying things I finally figured it out. After dealing with frequent break outs , bad reactions to certain brands, and also at the time I wasn’t aware of how important a prompt skin cleaning routine was when wearing makeup on a daily basis. (Eczema, Psoriasis, and extremely dry skin conditions unfortunately were inherited in my family). There were very few items I could find that would cater to the health of my skin underneath my makeup.

The small amount of healthy cosmetic brands I did come across were extremely expensive. I’ve come across a variety of women who stressed the same concerns of having healthy skin underneath their makeup as well. I began to create a strategy for this matter. Being more skilled with makeup, learning techniques for healthy skin, finding and creating natural good quality cosmetic products was just a dream ….

… but now? IT’S MY REALITY!!!!! The vision is unfolding gracefully. Catering to all women natural cosmetics, beauty and skin care needs. Also will be graduating the summer of June 2021 with my license as an Esthetician that specializes in skin care and make up professionally.
